The Specialist Palliative Care Directorate in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board are seeking an experienced, compassionate Specialty Doctor to work in the Grange University Hospital working 3 days a week .
The Palliative Care Directorate are based with in the Primary Care and Community Division of ABUHB, providing care for patients across Gwent .
We are looking for a specialty doctor in Palliative Medicine who, under the supervision of the Palliative Medicine Consultants, will provide effective and appropri ate medical care for palliative care patients within Aneurin Bevan Hospitals .
We are aiming to provide cover for the service between the hours of 8:00 and 18:30, with the hours of on-site work being between 9am and 5pm and potential for off-site/telephone on-call cover between the hours of 8-9am and 5-6.30 pm. Proposed job plan is attached within the JD although we are flexible.
Main duties of the job
As a senior employee of the Health Board the post holder will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Health Board’s patients.

* To ensure the provision of a first class clinical service
* To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty
* To sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
* To undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies
* To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Division’s and Health Board’s service plans
* To maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Medical Division or the Health Board
