About the Role:
Sodexo is seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering and Hospitality Manager to lead the catering team at Yarm School and Yarm Preparatory School. You will act as the primary representative for Sodexo and Yarm School, a leading independent school for pupils aged 3 to 18, located in Yarm, North East England. Yarm School includes a Nursery and Pre-Prep (ages 3-7), a Preparatory School (ages 7-11), and a Senior School (ages 11-18), including Sixth Form (ages 16-18). The school features top-class facilities and the prestigious Princess Alexandra Auditorium, which is open to the public.
Your responsibilities include managing the catering operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, including pupil and staff feeding, retail outlets, and hospitality services both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational management of Sodexo catering services to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Be visible and approachable during service times for pupils and staff; manage hospitality during school closures, weekends, and evenings.
* Build and maintain profitable relationships with clients and the catering team to achieve operational excellence.
* Provide strategic direction for catering and hospitality, promoting Sodexo strategies and best practices.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
* Support business development and client relationship management, including innovation and financial targets.
* Ensure health and safety compliance for all employees and stakeholders.
* Achieve strategic and operational objectives to deliver excellent service.
* Manage financial reporting, invoicing, and budgeting, including presenting annual budgets to clients and monitoring performance.
* Collaborate with the School Events Coordinator to deliver hospitality for school events and manage the Princess Alexandra Auditorium's catering services.
* Support the Chef Manager at the Preparatory School to provide healthy, innovative, and compliant food options, including allergen management.
