Senior Engineer – Combat Systems Installation & Commissioning
Location: Scotstoun. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
Salary: Circa £52,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Maintaining effective partnerships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
* Overseeing installation of Shared Infrastructure related equipment on board ship.
* Supporting installation inspections, harbour and sea trials where required.
* Supporting integration test & trials activities involving Shared Infrastructure.
* Providing a technical leadership role for elements of the Shared Infrastructure hardware.
* Acting as Approved Person to start up / shut down equipment under your area of responsibility.
* Managing defects and observation reports.
* Capturing and maintaining data generated for use by the project and the tools and techniques used to do so.
* Accepting responsibility for and demonstrating a visible commitment to SHE and Quality.
Essential
* Experience with Shared Infrastructure/networking equipment.
* Good influencing skills within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Experience of integration, installation, test, trial and acceptance of equipment.
* Extensive experience of physical and functional integration of combat system equipment.
Desirable
* IT networking experience.
* Electrical installation experience.
* Maritime combat systems experience.
Engineers should possess an academic qualification in engineering or other related STEM subjects. Specific academic or professional qualifications and professional registration (e.g., Incorporated or Chartered Engineer) are preferred.

Installation & Commissioning Team
As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the correct definition, installation and commissioning of the T26 Shared Infrastructure and associated hardware. The role ensures the installed equipment is safe, compliant and fit for use in accordance with the agreed design documentation, liaising with Operations, Planning, CS Physical Integration and CS Co-ordination for a smooth transition from stores to ship.
