JRS Associates have partnered up with a globally recognised aerospace manufacturing business operating across multiple UK sites to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer. This is a key role within the Manufacturing Engineering function, supporting complex, high-precision machining, NPI, and continuous improvement activities in a highly regulated, lean aerospace environment. The Successful CNC Programmer – Package: * £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (DOE) * Days, 37.5 hours (Mon- Thurs, 8:00AM to 4:30PM & Friday, 8:00AM to 2:00PM) * Overtime available at premium rates * Permanent, long-term position * Career progression within Manufacturing Engineering * Training and development on advanced CNC and CAM technologies * Supportive, engineering-led environment The Successful CNC Programmer – Requirements: * Programming 3 & 5 axis CNC milling machines * Offline programming using CAM software (Mastercam, Hypermill, Delcam, Catia or similar) * Cutting tool selection and optimisation * Mould tool and workholding design * Creation of machine setup sheets and operator work instructions * Validate programs through FAI (internal & external) * DFM reviews for new product introductions * BOM and routing validation * Cycle time reduction and throughput improvement initiatives * Working within Lean Manufacturing principles * Liaison with tooling and software suppliers to drive CI * Training and mentoring junior programmers * Ensuring machine and operator safety at all times The Successful CNC Programmer - Experience & Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years’ machining experience * Minimum 3 years’ offline CNC programming experience * Experience in a lean manufacturing environment * Fanuc & Heidenhain controls (desirable) * Vericut experience (desirable) * Engineering Degree, HND, BTEC Level 5 or NVQ Level 5 (preferred) Apply now!
