Milk Education is excited to be supporting a welcoming Primary School in L20 seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher. This nurturing, well-resourced school is the ideal environment for an ECT to develop their teaching practice with the guidance of experienced staff and a committed leadership team.

✨ The Role
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date:June
Contract: Maternity Cover

This role provides an excellent opportunity for ECTs wanting to enhance their skills, gain hands-on experience in KS1, and grow in a school with strong professional development support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Year 2.

2. Support pupils’ academic and personal development through creative teaching approaches.

3. Build a warm, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

4. Track pupil progress and use feedback to refine your practice.

5. Manage classroom behaviour calmly and positively.

6. Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure every child succeeds.

What We’re Looking For

7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with QTS.

8. A strong understanding of the Primary Curriculum (Year 2 focus).

9. A reflective, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

10. Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

11. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
