Turning Cell Leader – CNC Setter/Programmer
Location: Brislington, Bristol
Pay: £18.00 per hour
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon–Thu), 08:00 – 15:30 (Fri)
Breaks: 30 mins unpaid lunch + 15 mins paid tea break
Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About The Role
We are seeking a Turning Cell Leader to join our machine shop team. This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machines with a focus on turning and drilling operations. You\'ll take a hands-on approach while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
* Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc/G code)
* Prepare and load raw materials and components
* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
* Maintain machinery and ensure daily checks are completed
* Work in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001 standards
* Support team performance and production deadlines
Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer
* Strong knowledge of Fanuc/G code programming
* Skilled in using precision measuring equipment
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mechanical documents
* Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Able to work independently and meet production targets
