Overview
Join us as a Family Support Worker (Visits Centre Assistant) and become an integral part of our dedicated team at the Visitor Centre. You'll provide essential support to families visiting their loved ones, with services including play and children's activities and catering to help families feel welcomed and supported during visits.
Working alongside the PACT Family team, you’ll be based in the visitor centre and visits hall, offering support, advice and guidance to families. From facilitating prison visits to organising family days and supporting the play service, you’ll help create meaningful connections and provide much-needed support during challenging times.
Responsibilities
* Be based in the visitor centre and visits hall, and provide support, advice and guidance to families visiting loved ones.
* Facilitate prison visits and organise family days.
* Support the play service and contribute to delivering a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience and understanding of working with families in a challenging environment, ideally involving offenders and/or their families. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload. You will be able to contribute to planning and development of Pact’s family work and have knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice. You will also have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build partnerships with a range of agencies.
