RG Consultancy are currently working with a fantastic SME in Macclesfield who are recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. You will work closely with the company accountant and support the day-to-day transactional finance function and support with accounts administration. This role will suit an experienced senior account assistant or an accounts assistant wanting to progress and gain more exposure 22 days holiday 8 bank holidays Full Christmas closedown Flexible working hours Company pension scheme Free onsite parking Role Responsibilities Manage and maintain the purchase ledger Uploading purchase invoices, recording supplier payments Bank reconciliations Preparing and processing expenses Management of petty cash Assisting with accruals, prepayments and journals Assisting the company accountant with preparation of financial reports Assisting with managing a small in-house payroll payroll General office and accounts admin e.g including answering the phone, managing 2 email in-boxes, managing office stationery, booking travel arrangements. Person Specification Experience within an all-around accounts assistant role (working at a senior level, no people management required) An AAT qualification or studying would be an advantage but not essential Strong IT skills including SAGE and MS Excel Ability and willingness to be hands on and work within and support a small team
