Join Our Team as a Credit Control Clerk

As a vital part of our Finance department, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, helping us deliver on our promises to customers while having a bit of fun along the way. You’ll thrive in our inclusive team environment, where your contributions will truly make a difference.
This role offers flexible hybrid working, with 2-3 days in our Ashford, Kent office for team collaboration and meetings. So, being within a commutable distance is essential!
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring adherence to payment terms and credit limits while mitigating risks and potential bad debts.
* Foster effective working relationships and maintain open communication across all finance teams and internal colleagues.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong working relationships with customers.
* Meet targeted KPIs using established department procedures.
* Handle incoming calls and accurately record all queries to support cash collection activities.
* Manage queries by providing copy invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes, and liaising internally to resolve any payment issues.
* Participate in internal and external customer meetings.
* Escalate any internal or payment issues to management as needed.
* Continuously seek improvement and identify best practices that positively impact business results.
* Assist with other ad hoc duties as requested by your Team Leader/Manager.
About You:
No previous finance experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. However, we are looking for someone who has experience in a fast-paced environment and a keen interest in Finance or Credit Control.
You should be comfortable using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups) and possess strong communication skills to engage effectively with both external customers and internal colleagues at all levels.
