Your new firm Our award-winning national law firm client is expanding its specialist Costs department and is currently seeking a skilled Costs Draftsperson to join their highly regarded Cardiff office. Your new role You will be joining a dedicated Costs team, supporting a wide range of legal departments across the firm. The role will involve drafting bills of costs (including Precedent S Electronic Bills), N260s, Schedules for Joint Settlement Meetings, and Precedent H Cost Budgets using Costmaster. You will also oversee the issuing of the Notice of Commencement and associated documents, manage budget negotiations, and prepare Precedent R and Precedent T documents.In addition, you will provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders, negotiate and agree costs with paying party solicitors, and prepare Points of Reply and matters for provisional/detailed assessment. What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced Costs Draftsperson with a strong technical background in legal costs work. You'll be confident in using Costmaster and have a proven ability to manage complex cost matters independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders are essential.
