Rate of Pay: £9.50/hr
Nature of the job role: To support a 42 year old gentleman with a diagnosis of Asperger’s with managing his tenancy and other paperwork, attending appointments and to engage in social activities to prevent isolation. Male applicants would be preferred but not essential.
Main Duties:
Personal duties: Not required
Domestic duties: Assistance with home maintenance if required, more for company as this gentleman is very good at keeping his home clean and tidy. Walking or driving to the shops for food shopping, attending appointments, looking for work/jobs, completing any paperwork that is required for bank/tenancy/health tasks.
Social Duties: Support with joining/attending any local sports groups, the gym, or social clubs. Visits out to the cinema, bowling, playing pool, for meals out. Time to chat about emotional wellbeing and support to manage existing friendships.
Hours of work: 7.5 hours weekly, to be split as 2.5 hours over three days ideally but open to discussion based on availability.
Qualifications: Driving license preferred but not essential.
Skills & Experience: Experience working with individuals with autism/Asperger’s, and/or anxiety and depression - preferred but not essential. Able to build relationships easily whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
