Job Description:
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Shropshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We aim to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), including those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We seek passionate SEN / SEND tutors committed to supporting disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Shropshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to elevate educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists throughout each placement.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children with diverse learning needs, using creative, flexible, trauma-informed approaches to enhance engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
* Completing reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK

SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term placements
* Paid via PAYE, no set hours or expenses covered
* Insurance covers your work; this is not self-employment
