Job Summary
We are a small Family run business, seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong practical aptitude and will be comfortable working with both hand and power tools and electrical components.
This role is essential to our company in supporting the production process, ensuring that assembly tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Workshop experience is advantageous, as the Production Assistant will also assist in maintaining an organised workspace.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain various hand tools; power tools and electrical components for assembly tasks.
* Assist in the assembly of products according to specifications and quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow throughout the production process.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist in inventory management, including receiving, storing, and tracking materials.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to production processes.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team while following initiative where required.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot. Candidates can expect a short practical demonstration within the interview process.

Desirable, not essential:
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools.
* Previous experience with low volt electrical components
Benefits
* 20 Days holiday per annum, plus additional time at Christmas. Holiday days to increase with service years (not exceeding 25 Days per annum).
* 4 day working week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 08:00-17:00)
* Discretionary Company Shutdown period (approx. June each year and December)
