Are you an experienced Technical Sales Manager with a passion for new business development? Do you have expertise in industrial coatings or a solid understanding of coatings and their markets? The Role
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Midlands & Southwest territory. You’ll be managing and expanding an existing customer base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities within key industries. This is a field-based role requiring a self-motivated and results-driven individual who excels at building long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the industrial coatings sector.
* Meet and exceed revenue and new business targets.
* Conduct face-to-face client meetings, product presentations, and demonstrations.
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders, including technical and account management teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity via the CRM system.
About
About You:
* Proven experience as a Technical Sales Manager in a field-based role.
* Able to demonstrate experience within a B2B sales environment
* Background in industrial coatings is highly desirable, but candidates from related industries with coatings knowledge will be considered.
* Strong new business development skills with a proactive and driven approach.
* Excellent relationship-building and account management abilities.
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills.
* Able to manage a territory effectively, prioritising leads and opportunities.
* Full UK driving licence essential.
