Senior Product Engineer – Insights
Join to apply for the Senior Product Engineer – Insights role at Nory
Let’s fix hospitality, for good.
Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. But it doesn’t have to be this hard. That’s why we built Nory.
Our CEO, Conor, knows the pain first-hand. After founding and scaling Mad Egg in Ireland, he got fed up with juggling “market‑leading” systems, clunky spreadsheets, and endless printouts. So he set out to build the tool he wished he’d had from day one.
Nory is an all‑knowing restaurant management system. It blends real‑time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins. From food prep to forecasting, it’s operational intelligence that helps restaurants run with consistency, certainty, and profit. The result? Thriving restaurants, better jobs, less waste, healthier margins.
And we’re just getting started. Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik, we’ve grown to 70+ people across Ireland, the UK, and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined.
We’re now looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our Insights team. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our platform by architecting scalable solutions, mentoring peers, and directly boosting our customers’ efficiency and sustainability.
Tech stack: Python, React, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, AWS services (Fargate, Aurora, SQS), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker.
Requirement: Must have the right to work in the UK/EU to be considered for this role.
What you’ll be doing
You will build the data backbone of Nory – turning raw operational data into actionable intelligence that helps hospitality operators make smarter, faster decisions.
* Design and build scalable systems that power real‑time insights across scheduling, inventory, and customer feedback – helping operators identify opportunities, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
* Develop intelligent tooling and embedded analytics that surface contextual insights within the platform, supporting users with timely, data‑driven recommendations and decisions.
* Ship enhancements to our forecasting engine, increasing accuracy and transparency while improving UX to build operator trust in our AI predictions.
* Contribute to the evolution of our Insights platform, introducing new modules and capabilities to support dynamic pricing, cost management, and business performance tracking.
* Help build a self‑serve analytics layer, empowering users to interact with their data, explore trends, and understand business performance without relying on external tools or support.
* Collaborate on our customer feedback module, enabling sentiment analysis and automation features that help brands maintain a strong online presence and improve customer experience.
* Work closely with cross‑functional peers in Product, Design, and Engineering to ship fast, iterate based on real‑world feedback, and maintain technical excellence as we scale.
What you’ll bring
* Full‑Stack Technical Mastery: 8+ years of experience architecting and shipping production‑grade systems across the stack, with exceptional strength in both front‑end and back‑end.
* Strategic Systems Thinking & Design: Lead architectural decisions with a long‑term lens, balancing scalability, maintainability, and pragmatism.
* Product & Customer Mindset: Frame technical decisions in terms of customer outcomes, propose new approaches, and solve root problems impacting experience and performance.
* Extreme Ownership & Proactive Leadership: Drive progress without permission, mentor teammates, unlock blockers, and lift code quality.
* Cross‑Org Communication & Influence: Align across disciplines, write clearly, propose structurally, and contribute to strong decision‑making.
* Scaling Culture & Technical Standards: Embed continuous learning, feedback, and best practice; define engineering norms and create an inclusive high‑bar culture.
What you’ll get in return
* Meaningful equity – every employee is an owner.
* 35 days of paid leave per year (including bank holidays).
* Comprehensive private health insurance via Irish Life (Ireland) and Axa (UK).
* Enhanced parental leave and baby‑loss support.
* Learning & development culture – €1,000 personal annual budget and quarterly book budget.
* €250 home‑office workspace budget.
* Regular team off‑sites and socials.
* Offices in London (LABS House, 15‑19 Bloomsbury Way) or Dublin (Dogpatch Labs, The Chq Building, Custom House Quay, North Wall).
