Quality Inspector – rotating shift
Location: Dudley
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
Pay: £13.68 per hour (rising to £14.11 per hour after 12 weeks)
Pertemps Dudley are recruiting on behalf of a leading business, based in Dudley, for a hands-on Quality Inspector to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for someone from a mechanical or engineering background to build a long-term career in a specialist environment, with structured training and clear progression.
This role suits someone practical, detail-focused and eager to learn, who enjoys working with equipment and components in a fast-paced industrial setting.
The Role
* Assist with quality inspection activities in line with written company procedures
* Prepare components for inspection, including set-up and equipment adjustment
* Carry out a high level of manual handling of components
* Support the maintenance and care of inspection tools and equipment
* Complete assigned tasks safely, accurately and efficiently
* Work under the close guidance of experienced Engineers on well-defined technical tasks
* Manage workload and priorities in line with targets set by your supervisor
* Take initiative and lead small tasks when required
About You
* Educated to a good standard in Maths, Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Practical, reliable and keen to build a technical career
* Comfortable working nights and in an industrial environment
* Able to follow procedures while thinking logically and methodically
* Organised, proactive and able to manage time effectively
* Demonstrates an interest in quality inspection
