This Head of Bids role would suit someone who knows public sector tenders, understands frameworks, and wants to lead from the front. You could already be operating at this level, or you may be a Senior Bid Manager or Contracts Manager ready for a broader remit.
You’ll take ownership of the full bid function in a lean, hands-on environment. That means influencing strategy, improving how tenders are managed, and working closely with operations, sales, finance, SHEQ and legal. You will have the scope to raise standards, tighten process, and make sure every submission is commercially sharp and compliant.
There is clear visibility here.
You’ll lead a team of two, made up of a Bid Writer and Tender Manager, and play a central role in a framework-led business where tender quality directly affects growth.
What you’ll need:
* Strong experience managing frameworks and complex tenders.
* Good knowledge of public sector procurement.
* The credibility to lead, whether from a Head of Bids, senior bid, or contracts background.
