Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Southminster, Essex
Pay Range: Competitive
Contract Type: Perm
My client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join its growing Quality Assurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in maintaining and enhancing a robust Quality Management System across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for Quality Assurance, working closely with internal teams and customers.
* Support validation and verification activities, ensuring inspection criteria and quality controls are defined and met.
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of product Technical Files in line with regulatory requirements.
* Lead problem-solving and change management activities, driving continuous improvement.
* Support internal and supplier audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
* Promote a strong culture of quality across the business through coaching and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, automotive, aerospace or similar).
* Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, ISO13485, MDD/MDR, CFR Part 820 & ISO14971.
* Strong problem-solving skills with experience using tools such as FMEA, RCA, CAPA, 8D or APQP.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
* A qualification in engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools would be a strong advantage.
