SEN Behaviour Mentor, Hailsham
Rate: £90–£110/day
Contract: Long-term (term-by-term), temp to perm, day to day supply
Location: Hailsham (East Sussex)
Responsibilities:
* Mentor pupils with SEMH or behavioural challenges to develop better coping strategies
* Lead small-group or 1:1 restorative sessions; promote conflict resolution
* Work with staff to support behaviour plans and risk assessments
* Provide structured social time (break, lunch) to help pupils develop self-regulation
* Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external partners around pastoral needs
* Track pupil behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and progress over time
Requirements / Advantages:
* Enhanced Child-Only DBS essential
* Driving licence preferred (widens catchment)
* Experience in youth work, counselling, or behaviour mentoring is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
