Family Support Senior Practitioner
As a Senior Practitioner in Family Support, you will be locality based, working alongside another Family Support Senior Practitioner. You will be reporting to and supporting the Family Support Locality Team Manager by providing strategic and operational leadership. You will have a strong understanding of level of needs for statutory intervention and the management of family support in tier 2 services. This role includes case-holding, whilst providing line management, advice, guidance, and supervision to up to 5 Family Support Practitioners. You will be imaginative and motivated, with a passion for leading practice development.You will be a role model for excellent Family Support Practice based on child centred and restorative principles. You will be aspiring to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
For this role:
* You will have a good understanding of Early Help and different types of Family Support Interventions.
* You will require a minimum level 4 Qualification in working with children and families or other relevant qualification.
* You will have at least 5 years’ experience of working with children and families.
* You will have experience of working with statutory social work colleagues and professionals across the division to support and improve practice in Early Help.
* You must know what excellence looks like and champion best practice with an ability to support, develop and inspire others.
* You will work in accordance with national and local policies and procedures.
* You will provide support based on best evidence, which is tailored to meet individual child and family needs, and which addresses relevant and significant risks and have a good understanding of level of needs.
* You will work with the team and individuals to promote development and well-being.

Working Pattern: Full Time (35 hours between hours of 7am-7pm and including Weekend working as required).
Location – Varied. This is a face to face role which requires daily attendance at a locality location or central base.
