Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: We have proven experience evaluating and recommending membership or association management systems (AMS). We can conduct and document structured requirements gathering with non-technical staff and volunteers. We have demonstrable knowledge of the current market for membership platforms. We have a strong awareness of threats to data security and mitigation. We have experience producing options appraisals or equivalent procurement documentation. We understand data migration considerations from legacy systems. We have knowledge of integration requirements, including payments, email, and communications. We have strong written communication skills and can produce clear reports for a non-technical trustee board. We are able to work independently and take a vendor-neutral, pragmatic approach. Responsibilities: We will work with BBKA staff, Trustees, and a small user group to understand our current membership system and requirements. We will evaluate the options available to migrate to another off-the-shelf, configured, or bespoke platform. We will produce a clear, costed options appraisal suitable for presentation to our trustee board. We will assess membership management requirements and recommend the most appropriate solution for our needs. We will document findings in a way that is clear to a non-technical audience. We will default to proven solutions and be honest about trade-offs, including cost and risk. We are a charity overseen by an elected Board of Trustees with a small office team based in Stoneleigh. We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Consultant for a short-term contracted engagement to assess our membership management requirements and recommend the most appropriate solution. This initial project should be delivered as soon as practically possible after appointment, and we welcome flexible or part-time candidates who can start promptly. There is potential for the right candidate to continue with us on a part-time consultancy basis beyond the initial project, subject to mutual agreement.
