Salary range: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum DOE + benefits
Location: UK Flexible (expectation to attend a local HUB 1x per month & offsites 3-4x per year)

Our Team
As an IFRS 9 Modelling Manager, you will lead a small team of modellers and data scientists to develop risk and macroeconomic models for forecasting Loan Loss provisions. The role covers all types of models within the IFRS 9 landscape, involving retail and business banking products and customers. Your team will focus on model development, validation, management, monitoring, and stakeholder support.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and execute IFRS9 BAU processes, including quarterly economic model updates and PMA calculations.
2. Develop and implement IFRS9 credit risk models aligned with stakeholder expectations, standards, and regulations.
3. Coordinate with Risk and Finance stakeholders to deliver model outputs into BAU processes.
4. Present model outcomes and propose solutions for weaknesses to stakeholders.
5. Lead audit reviews of Business Banking IFRS9 model outputs.
6. Document analytics to support recommendations to committees and stakeholders.
7. Support wider teams on Business Banking modeling topics.
8. Provide leadership in team and network discussions across the bank.
Requirements
* Experience leading small teams in IFRS9/Stress Testing modeling processes.
* Involvement in all components of the Model Lifecycle.
* Ability to explain model outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Credit Risk Modeling techniques (PD/LGD/EAD, IFRS9, Stress Testing, IRB).
* Degree in a numerate discipline (statistics, maths, engineering, econometrics).
* Proficiency in statistical programming languages (SAS, SQL, Python, R).
Desirable
* Knowledge of Business Banking products and lending processes.
* Experience working with auditors and regulators.
* Mentoring experience.
