An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified medical practitioner to join Hywel Dda University Health Board’s progressive team of medical educators, in the role of Medical Education Teaching Fellow for the department of Medicine in Bronglais General Hospital. This part time, one day a week, teaching fellow role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term basis and expectations of the role include supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across all medical specialties, in addition to providing generic teaching sessions for all medical students. The position combines medical education with clinical practice, enabling the successful candidate to maintain and enhance their expertise in a specialty that aligns with their particular interest. On-call sessions will also be optional where there are rota gaps. Main duties of the job Main duties of the role will include:- Delivering ward and classroom based teaching for Medical and Physician Associate Students in accordance with relevant curricula and learning needs Delivering ward and classroom based teaching and undertaking workplace based assessments for Resident Doctors Active involvement in quality improvement activities Working for our organisation Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
