Job details
* Shifts: Sat & Sun rotating days and nights 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am with additional hours (32/36 hours per week).
* Salary: £45,633 – £51,337 (inclusive of shift allowance).
* Company performance bonus: 8%.
* Employment type: Permanent.
* Industry/ environment: Mars Wrigley factory setting in Plymouth; hot food restaurant on site; on-site gym; private medical insurance and free flu jabs; free on-site parking; employee shop with monthly allowance.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and operate all critical facility plant for factory operations including production air conditioning plant operations and control, boiler and associated steam supplies, and air compressors including air supply to the factory and central chiller plant.
* Collaborate with the site reliability engineer to raise concerns and ideas for future asset investment within the facility department and provide technical support for utility projects from initial planning through to final implementation.
* Plan and schedule all legal inspections within the facility department and maintain full documentation.
* Manage reactive work, support troubleshooting, and apply root-cause methodologies.
* Perform facility contract management duties including completion of risk assessments.
* Continuously improve the facility SAP PM system and ensure transactions are robustly captured in SAP PM.
* Drive reactive maintenance continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for / Qualifications
* Proven experience in diagnosing and fixing industrial boilers, steam pipework, and water systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot competencies such as pneumatic systems, compressors, chillers, boilers and dehumidifiers with minimal guidance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualifications such as served apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ or equivalent.
* Excellent organisational and strategic planning skills.
