Are you passionate about Biology and committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer in Biology to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Science programmes.
About The Role
As a Lecturer in Biology, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and innovative lessons, supporting learners to achieve their full potential, and contributing to curriculum development. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure an outstanding learning experience.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Excellent subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Biology
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Excellent organisational, administrative, and IT skills
* A supportive and empathetic approach to learners
* Evidence of recent and relevant industry or vocational experience
* Knowledge of effective learning strategies and embedding English and Maths into delivery
* Experience supporting learners with external work placements
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
Qualifications
* A subject-relevant qualification at Level 4 or above
* A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or willingness to achieve

* Awareness of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting the welfare of learners
