Registered Nurse - Part-Time - Mental Health ServiceSouthampton Part time £23,004 Join a leading mental health service as a Physical Health Nurse, offering 20 hours per week in a tranquil, therapeutic setting that supports adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders.This residential facility provides person-centred care using evidence-based therapies to help patients build healthier futures. As a nurse within our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting physical recovery and emotional wellbeing.As a Physical Health Nurse, you'll:
* Carry out physical health assessments for patients on admission
* Collaborate with medical staff to ensure care plans reflect accurate health needs
* Document patient interactions and escalate clinical concerns where necessary
* Provide guidance to fellow nurses on managing chronic conditions, screening protocols, wound care, and more
* Offer training to staff on health monitoring tools
* Uphold dignity, compassion, and professionalism in every patient interaction
What You'll Bring: We're looking for a qualified Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) or a Mental Health Nurse / Learning Disabilities Nurse with:
* NMC registration and post-preceptorship experience
* Minimum two years in physical healthcare
* Knowledge of chronic disease management and general physical health conditions
* A positive approach, commitment to continuous improvement, and strong communication skills
* Willingness to mentor or complete mentorship training within 12 months
