We are currently recruiting for a Buying Manager to deliver the strategy for our Harrods Collections Home & Seasonal department.
About the Role
As Buying Manager, you will report into the Head of Harrods Collection and play a key role in delivering their strategic vision for Harrods Collection. You will oversee the key dates from design and development through to commercially driving the business across an omni‑channel operation. You will ensure best‑in‑class product execution taking ownership of end‑to‑end buying activity, whilst driving supplier performance, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the agreed buying strategy across all channels; excellent commercial acumen, experience in budget planning and P&L management in line with business objectives.
- Drive gross sales and net contribution through thorough negotiations, creating interest and innovation across the collections.
- Analyse and interpret sales figures and trends to make timely product & trade decisions to ultimately deliver growth and mitigate risk.
- Excellent ability to work across departments, manage stakeholders and ensure that Harrods Collection is consistently delivering exceptional service and communication. Relationships invested in and valued as part of department set up and team culture.
- Plan and deliver specific category strategy in line with overall business objectives; alongside marketing and retail plans.
- Take full ownership of the Key Dates, ensuring 100% launch and in‑stock across all categories.
- Build and manage a high‑performing, strategic supplier base and development plan, ensuring quality, margin, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
- Work with wider team, media, marketing and press to develop marketing and business opportunities.
- Identify customer and market opportunities through thorough business and customer insights, demonstrating constant translation into product and ranging.
- Lead and contribute to team development, championing collaboration, innovation, and adherence to core business processes.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on‑site or have a mix of on‑site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, depending on business needs.

About You
You will be a commercially astute and forward‑thinking buying professional with a strong understanding of the luxury or bridge retail landscape. You will bring a confident and proactive approach, with the ability to challenge ways of working and drive continuous improvement. You will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, balancing strategic planning with hands‑on delivery, and building strong relationships across internal teams and external suppliers. Your passion for product, combined with a customer‑first mindset, will enable you to consistently deliver exceptional results.
You will also have:
- Proven experience in a bridge or luxury brand in a role directly related to designing and developing product.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively and without concern. You will adept at operating efficiently in a changing environment and can be considered and strategic whilst working at pace.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills are critical.
