IT Project Engineer: Lead Global Migrations & Infrastructure | Self Employed Consultant
Location: Based in Croydon, London (with international travel to Netherlands & Germany)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum + £15,000 Performance Bonus
Reporting to: Finance Director
The Challenge
Are you a hands-on IT professional who bridges the gap between complex technical execution and financial strategy? Cathay Investments Limited is seeking an IT Project Engineer to lead the strategic transition of Lantor’s core business systems. This isn't just a technical rollout; it is a high-impact mission to migrate legacy SAP environments to Sage 200 and Seqos (WMS) while serving as a change agent for our international workflows.
The Mission
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our systems migration. Your key objectives include:
Lead the Migration: Manage the full-cycle transition from Lantor SAP to Sage 200, ensuring absolute data integrity and minimal downtime.
International Deployment: Technically execute and project manage the rollout of Seqos (WMS) and Sage 200 at our facilities in Veenendaal, Netherlands and Goch, Germany.
Data & Transformation: Drive data extraction and transformation using advanced Excel and database query skills to move data seamlessly from legacy environments.
Budget Optimisation: Conduct a comprehensive group IT audit to identify and implement at least 15% in tangible cost savings (independent of existing SAP projects).
Change Management: Design streamlined digital workflows and deliver tailored training to ensure high system adoption across diverse, multi-cultural user groups.
Your Profile
We are looking for a practitioner who is "hands-on" rather than just a manager. You should possess:
Proven Experience: A background as a Systems Accountant, ERP Consultant, or IT Manager with a track record in ERP/WMS integration.
Technical Rigour: Advanced skills in data validation, system mapping, and bespoke software customizations.
Leadership Style: A "Pragmatic & Rapid" approach—able to drive projects at pace while maintaining the caution required for stable "go-live" environments.
Persuasive Communication: The ability to motivate and train users with varying skill levels across the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Milestone-Driven Rewards
Your success is measured by clear, tangible results. In addition to your base salary, you can earn a £15,000 bonus based on these specific milestones:
£5,000: Successful "Go-Live" of Sage 200 by Easter.
£5,000: Successful implementation and operational sign-off of Seqos in Goch.
£5,000: Realisation of at least 15% tangible savings in the group IT budget by the end of the term.
