Main duties of the job
To perform at specialist enhanced practitioner level, facilitating early assessment, supporting diagnosis and prompt treatment of patients presenting to North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust within the inpatient/outpatient setting, admission avoidance, timely discharge and ensure that management is in line with evidence-based guidelines. The main responsibilities of the role will be related to clinical expertise within Hepatology, with an emphasis on initiating, performing and maintaining standards of clinical excellence. The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

Person specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Evidence of recent speciality related learning
* Has evidence of accredited level 6/7 education preferably in Hepatology
* Educated to Degree level
* Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills – Accredited module
* Non-medical independent prescriber
Experience
* Relevant demonstrable experience in speciality area
* Evidence of mentorship/teaching experience
* Working knowledge of patient administration systems
