Role Overview
Finance Manager (Hybrid) – Ellesmere Port – £28.46 per hour (PAYE). Reference: 5294802. This is a full‑time role on a temporary contract basis.
Responsibilities
* Support the production of the authority’s main financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Movement in Reserves Statement (MiRS) and Comprehensive Income and Expenditure Statement (CIES).
* Interpret accounting standards and provide advice on complex accounting issues.
* Carry out other related duties as required by the local government authority.
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with strong post‑qualification experience.
* Experience in technical accounting within a local government environment.
