About the Role:
Lead on all day-to-day operations of the historic landscape of Birkenhead Park through management of the estate management team and visitor services team, with support from Friends groups and other organisations. Ensure the park is well-used by stakeholder groups and events, while maintaining its status as a Grade I listed historic park and an aspirant UNESCO World Heritage Site. Collaborate with the World Heritage project team to deliver objectives related to income generation, landscape changes, visitor services, and planting schemes as outlined in Birkenhead Parks Management Plan.
About the candidate:
Applicants should have an HNC/HND in Park Management or equivalent, with experience and understanding of heritage, conservation, land management, and listed garden requirements. Strong networking and stakeholder management skills are essential, including presenting reports and engaging with public meetings. Knowledge of World Heritage Sites and their management is also required.
