Engineer
Glendon Wood Hospital, Kettering
37.5 Hours Per Week
An exciting opportunity for an Engineer has arisen at Glendon Wood Hospital based in Kettering. In this role you will play a vital role in keeping our hospital safe, compliant, and operational. We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance and technical support across our sites.
Where you'll be based:
Our brand new state-of-the-art day case hospital is located in Glendon, Kettering. This new facility is an extension of the services delivered by the nearby Woodland Hospital.
What you'll do:
* Act as the primary engineering contact for designated hospitals.
* Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive tasks within agreed Service Level Agreements.
* Ensure statutory inspections and remedial works are completed on time.
* Provide first-line support for medical gases and fire safety systems.
* Liaise with contractors, manage permits, and oversee minor repair works.
* Support project management and compliance initiatives.
* Participate in multi-site on-call cover and provide holiday/sickness cover as needed
What We’re Looking For:
* City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Post-apprenticeship maintenance experience, contractor coordination, and line management
* Multi-skilled (preferably plumbing or electrical bias) with strong fault-finding skills
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Legionella prevention, and MMS systems
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
* A full UK driving license is required
