Permanent Full time 37 hours per week 52 weeks Daily working pattern - 7.00am to 3.00pm with 1 day finishing at 2.30pm. Flexibility to cover between 7.00am to 7.00pm as required due to annual leave or sickness. Can you provide a professional and effective caretaker service for our school? We are looking to appoint a reliable and resourceful Caretaker to effectively manage and undertake site maintenance, services and compliance. This is an important role in ensuring that a professional and effective facilities management service is provided to staff, pupils and visitors and using the school premises. In this role you will: Ensure the premises and grounds are safe, warm, clean and properly maintained Move furniture and equipment around the site and take delivery and distribute supplies Have responsibility for key holding, locking and unlocking the site, setting alarms Clean areas of the site when required, have oversight of the cleaning staff and request the ordering of cleaning supplies Complete maintenance duties, including repairs to furniture Direct contractors who are on site To succeed in this role, you will have: Experience of building and maintenance work Current knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments, and how they apply in a school environment The ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills to communicate with a range of clients, both internal and external.
