What you will be doing
* Be responsible for the month end close process, working with stakeholders across the Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting for assigned cost areas in accordance with IFRS.
* Develop monthly cost reports for designated sectors, delivering thorough analysis of performance and spotlighting areas for additional review.
* Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers of variances to budget/forecast.
* Own the associated balance sheet reconciliations ensuring high quality support is in place and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis.
* Support the external auditors with regards to your cost areas, ensuring a smooth audit process at each reporting cycle where auditor input is required.
* Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Financial Control Framework and contribute to the delivery of continuous process and control improvements for assigned areas of responsibility.
What We're Looking For
Crucial
* Qualified or Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Background in Financial Reporting, Finance analyst, or Management accounting positions
* Proficient in building relationships and adept at persuading a diverse set of business collaborators across various organizational tiers, both inside and outside
* Adaptable and forward-thinking with excellent organisation abilities to ensure timely delivery of outstanding results under demanding time constraints
* High attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to analyse performance to deliver insight which is presented clearly and concisely
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Desirable skills and skills we would love you to know or learn
* Knowledge of finance systems like Sun GL and Infor Q&A
