Overview
PE Global is recruiting for a Facilities Project Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Stafford. This is a 6 month contract position working fully on site in Stafford. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 6:45 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility for weekends and out of hours work when required. Pay rate is £22.06ph PAYE or £29.94ph Umbrella.
Responsibilities
* Delivery of facility building projects ensuring deadlines, budget and quality are met.
* Delivery of facility building systems projects.
* Report project status at key milestones to facility and business stakeholders.
* Support and contribute to safety targets, revenue costs, quality, and performance.
* Develop clear project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with business and operational requirements.
* Ensure project documentation is complete (scope, drawings, permits, RAMS).
* Support procurement activities, including contractor selection and technical evaluations.
* Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Lead final inspections, snag lists, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Education/Experience
* Engineering, civils and construction industry experience is preferred.
* Experience in a similar position with delivery of facility building projects.
* Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
* Understanding of risk and safety requirements.
* Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
* Strong communication skills.
* IOSH Managing Safety certification is advantageous.
* IPAF MEWP For Managers is advantageous.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
