Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
* Prepare ingredients for frying, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables or proteins as needed.
* Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality fried dishes.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding kitchen areas.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on fried food offerings.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
* Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is essential, with a focus on frying techniques preferred.
* Culinary experience within a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is required.
* Experience in meal preparation and serving within a fast-paced kitchen environment is beneficial.
