Commercial Property Paralegal — Position Overview:
You will support fee earners within the Commercial Property department, assisting with transactions from initial instruction through to completion and registration at the Land Registry while gaining valuable experience across a wide range of commercial property work.
Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Property Paralegal:
• Assisting with onboarding and client care processes including ID checks and source of funds verification
• Obtaining and reviewing title documents
• Preparing sale and auction packs
• Submitting property searches
• Preparing replies to CPSE and SCR enquiries
• Assisting with reports on title
• Drafting landlord and tenant documentation and sale contracts
• Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
• Preparing Land Registry applications and responding to requisitions
• Preparing completion statements, invoices and accounts forms
• Assisting with post-completion work and file closing
• Communicating with clients, agents and third parties
• Attending meetings and taking notes
• Supporting corporate property work where required
Requirements of the Commercial Property Paralegal:
• Previous paralegal experience within commercial property desirable
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and dependable approach to work
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and legal systems
