Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join us as a SENDCo.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Support the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.
* Complete Annual Reviews, Interim reviews, and Emergency Reviews of EHCPs in line with the SEND code of practice.
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordinate specific provision to support pupils with SEN or disabilities.
* Oversee looked-after pupils within the school.
* Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
* Advise on the use of the school’s budget and resources to meet pupils’ needs effectively, including staff development.
* Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum.
* Lead and manage staff and deploy resources effectively.
* Lead interventions to support all pupils.
* Ensure quality assurance of Teaching and Learning, focusing on SEND provision.
* Attend and review PEP meetings.

* An accredited SENDCo qualification.
* QTS or QTLs.
* A passion for education and inclusion.
* Leadership experience and qualities.
* Readiness to develop leadership skills within a school.
* Ability to manage SEND provision in partnership with the Headteacher.

About South Park Enterprise College
Located in Scunthorpe, South Park Enterprise College offers an alternative education programme for pupils at risk of exclusion due to challenging behaviour or with Educational Health Care Plans requiring specialised interventions. The college provides a broad, balanced curriculum from KS3 to KS4, tailored to meet diverse needs.
