About the Role
Our nationwide Non Mechanical division hires a range of equipment such as crowd control barriers, scaffolding, and road plates for the events industry, alongside traditional sectors such as construction, utilities, and infrastructure.
As a Hire Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the Hire Desk and Transport services, ensuring the depot exceeds customer requirements and increases sales revenue. You will manage a team of Hire & Sales Coordinators and Drivers, motivating and developing them to create a customer‑focused approach while ensuring health & safety processes are adhered to. In this fast‑paced role you will monitor hire activity levels, produce monthly revenue and productivity reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
About You
* Significant experience in a high‑volume sales role, preferably within plant hire or the construction industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing team.
* Ability to engage customers at all levels in pursuit of increasing sales revenue and resolving issues efficiently.
* Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Proficient in MS Office packages including Word and Excel.
