We're looking for an Internal Communications Assistant to join our small, collaborative Internal Communications team at BPAS. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key supporting role in helping us engage and inform colleagues across our 1,000‑strong workforce from clinic teams to home‑based staff.

You will support how our people hear about what matters from key organisational updates to local announcements by helping coordinate content across a range of internal channels.
This is a varied and fast‑paced role where strong organisation and attention to detail are essential. You will support the day‑to‑day running of the Internal Communications function from managing inbox queries and maintaining communication schedules, to assisting with events and coordinating content across our intranet and staff app. You’ll also play a key role in supporting internal initiatives and helping ensure our communications run smoothly and efficiently.
Working Arrangements
This role is a hybrid role for 21 hours per week over Tuesday to Friday. You will travel to our Head Office in Leamington Spa typically once a week. Occasional travel to London and other BPAS units may be required for events and training.
Main duties of the job
* Support the creation and publishing of content across internal channels including the intranet and staff app
* Manage the Internal Communications inbox, responding to and escalating queries where appropriate
* Maintain and update the Internal Communications Planner
* Provide administrative and logistical support for campaigns, announcements and projects
* Assist with the organisation of virtual and in‑person staff events
* Support staff engagement activities such as awareness days and pulse surveys
* Provide diary management and meeting coordination support for the Internal Communications team

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and proactive, who understands the importance of clear communication and enjoys supporting a busy team to deliver high‑quality work.
You’ll have strong administrative and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You’ll be confident communicating with colleagues at all levels and have a keen eye for detail when preparing and reviewing content.
Experiences Desired
* Experience working in an administrative or coordination role
* Experience managing shared inboxes, scheduling or diary coordination
* Experience supporting events or logistics (e.g. booking rooms, organising materials and hospitality, coordinating attendees)
* Experience supporting internal communications, engagement activity or digital content
* Experience using staff apps
* Experience using simple design tools, such as Canva
* Experience using SharePoint and making changes to an intranet site
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths (either GCSE A‑C or Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE 4* or NVQ level 2)

Person Specification
* Awareness of organisational tone of voice and internal brand consistency
* Basic knowledge of event logistics and what is required to support staff events
* Understanding of confidentiality, Data Protection and Information Governance expectations
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Good written communication skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
* Basic understanding of internal communications and its role in employee engagement
* Awareness of common internal communication channels (intranet, email newsletters, Teams, staff app)
* Basic digital skills, including familiarity with content formatting or simple design tools (e.g. Canva)

Salary: £25,799 – £29,124 – pro‑rata per annum, depending on skills and experience
