Electrician

Contract: Full Time Permanent
Salary up to £43,000 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card.
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team in Croydon. This is a practical, field-based role working primarily within tenanted properties, where you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems.
You will play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, compliant and fit for occupation, delivering reactive repairs, planned maintenance and supporting wider refurbishment programmes. With a strong pipeline of work and an expanding presence in the area, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a team that is making a positive impact within the local community.

Electrical Duties:
1. Repair and replace faulty electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
2. Inspect, test and certify electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
3. Fault diagnosis and rectification of consumer units (fuse boxes).
4. Installation of new electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
5. Carry out first fix electrical works, including full and partial rewires.
6. Install additional socket outlets, cabling and associated accessories as required.
7. Work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily repair and completion targets.
8. Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants and residents, explaining the nature of works and expected outcomes.
9. Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and tidy on completion of all tasks. Fully with all health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
10. Always deliver a high standard of customer care.
11. Use relevant IT and job management systems to manage, prioritise and complete workloads efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Role Criteria:
12. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations - to include AM2
13. City & Guilds 18th Edition (If you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition)
14. Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)
15. Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
16. Previous domestic, social housing experience
