Responsible for delivering client-facing services including the advisory, management and co-ordination of various climate change, sustainability and/or social value related activities on projects and/or programmes. Support work winning, and the delivery of Mace's 2026 business plan and Responsible Business strategy.
You'll be responsible for:
* Accountable for service excellence, delivering purpose-led and measurable outcomes for clients, with particular focus on climate change, social value, and biodiversity.
* Managing the development of client climate change, sustainability and/or social value strategies on individual projects, including agreeing project outcomes and ensuring their delivery by the project team.
* Delivering commercial revenue targets aligned to the project/programme plan, requiring the translation of project/programme objectives into deliverable strategies, leading to a sustainable business for Mace in the sector.
* Supporting work winning through bid support, innovation, client liaison, upskilling of colleagues and external profile-raising of Mace/Mace services.
* Providing technical expertise and promotes innovation in a particular area of sustainability, such as waste, energy/carbon, water, responsible sourcing of materials, sustainable buildings, etc.
* Representing the company and clients in a public forum, attending internal and external events to represent and raise the profile of Mace and the practice group.
* Directing and managing team, and champion career development such that they have the opportunity to work to the best of their potential in a safe and supportive environment.
* Supporting the contribution of the delivery of the business strategy priorities and corporate targets, in particular, awareness of the carbon metrics of sector projects, while driving an increase in the sector's carbon handprint (i.e. project level carbon savings)
* Sharing knowledge and insights from the sector, including project case studies and thought leadership.
* Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
* Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification (post graduate degree, Etc) (or equivalent).
* Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledge, understanding and expertise across the fields of environmental and social sustainability.
* Project and/or programme management.
* Business acumen.

* Collaborator: ability to engage with multiple teams in a collaborative manner.
* Communication: ability to present technical topics in a simple way to a variety of audiences.
