Senior Clerical Officer

Work as part of a team in the maintenance of the administration and clerical function of the Breast Screening Programme and BS Select Systems.
Ensure organisation, collection and input of all necessary data within the Quality Assurance Guidelines for the National Breast Screening Programme.
Ensure appointments are generated and sent out on time following the timetable allocated by the Service.
Ensure results are sent out on time following the Quality Assurance Guidelines for National Breast Screening.
Assist the Service with verification of clinical data and national audits.
Main duties of the job
Provide all aspects of administration necessary for the service provision, of the National Breast Screening Programme identified as part of the annual National Breast Screening Service Specification.
Work as part of a team; some responsibilities are daily and some on a rotational basis weekly.
Patient contact on the phone and e‑mail.
Clinic preparation for routine screening, second stage assessment, technical recalls, early recall and Very High‑Risk Screening.
Secretarial duties for a team of four Consultant Radiologist and three Consultant Radiographers.
Monitor reports daily, weekly requiring analytical skills validating and auditing.
Order and maintain stationery stocks within financial resources.
Understand and work within remit of the Trust Confidentiality Policy.
Work within Trust Policies and Procedures.
Attend appropriate training courses as identified in PPDR process.
Demonstrate duties to new starters.
Undertake basic training on Breast Screening System, BS Select, Radiology Systems.
Undertake any other training deemed necessary to fulfil the duties of the job.
Person Specification
Education/ Qualifications
* GCSEs (Maths and English)
* Or equivalent level of experience if relevant
* Computer training.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* A proven ability to meet deadlines and Key Performance Indicators.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Knowledge and experience of the Breast Screening System, BS select
* Previous experience of working with IT systems.
* Experience of data collection.
