Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking to welcome a Finance Business Partner on a full time and permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to lead the strategic and operational aspects of the organisation and lead the Statutory Reporting team.
Job Description
* Lead all statutory financial accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely production of Financial Statements.
* Oversee Group reporting, including Common Good, Trusts, ALEOs, and LLPs, for audit and public inspection.
* Manage external audits, financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and reconciliation processes.
* Provide technical accounting, taxation, and advisory services to Council departments.
* Lead Treasury Management, cash flow, debt, investments, and Common Good/Trust Fund oversight.
* Oversee Accounts Payable, debt recovery, financial controls, policies, and staff training.
* Drive continuous improvement, financial systems development, and delivery of statutory returns.
* Provide strategic leadership, manage staff/resources, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and equality standards.
Personal Specification
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ICAS, CIMA)
* Public sector experienced desired, not essential
* Experienced in managing a successful team/provided training
* Great verbal and written communication
* Good knowledge of accounting systems and can show strong technical financial skills.
