Swindon Borough Council is excited to announce the opportunity for Experienced Social Workers to join the Family Safeguarding Service. Working within pods designed to maximise support, you will be one of five Social Workers, alongside one Manager per pod. If you’ve got the experience and skills needed to perform comprehensive assessments and work within court proceedings to ensure permanency plans for children, this could be the perfect role for you!

What you will do:
* Undertake comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments, to develop outcome-focused care plans with children and families.
* Conduct care proceedings in both private and public courts.
* Initiate and complete court processes within timescales to achieve permanency plans for children, including adoption.
* Address complex risks and document your evidence-based interventions with children and families.
