We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
We are seeking individuals to join the teams in New Victoria ACH, Older Peoples & Stroke Services Ward 1.
* Hours available 37 (full-time) or Part-time (34.19) hours. 12-hour day shift/night shift rotation.
* Preferably have had previous hospital experience in an acute setting, but not essential.
You should have excellent communication and organizational skills and excel in a busy working environment. You will assist the trained nursing staff in the delivery of a range of patient care procedures and provide basic nursing care to patients. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and assist the Registered Nurse and where appropriate other members of the Clinical Team to deliver patient care. You will:
* Co-operate with and maintain good relationships with other disciplines that are attending and treating our service users to maximise patient care and maintain good relationships.
* Have an empathic approach to clients' carers and relatives and refer them to a trained nurse for any questions they may have on the clients' condition or for any suggestions or concerns that they wish to raise.
