Primary Purpose Of The Role

To support the Commercial team by providing contract administration, commercial analysis, and negotiation assistance to ensure the Company’s financial and commercial interests are protected.

Core Responsibilities

* Analyse and evaluate customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Tenders and provide relevant commercial input to internal stakeholders (programme management, engineering, quality, procurement, etc.).
* Prepare, draft, and support negotiations of commercial and contractual terms in line with corporate policies and required approvals.
* Support the pre‑ and post‑contract administration of customer and subcontractor contracts, including compliance monitoring, risk tracking, KPI drafting/updates, reviewing applications for payment, and attending progress review meetings.
* Assist with pre‑RFP activities such as Proprietary Information Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
* Understand contract terms and support the appropriate contractual flow‑down to suppliers and subcontractors.
* Help identify, assess, and escalate commercial risk areas to relevant owners.
* Contribute to weekly/monthly Commercial reporting as required.
* Maintain a working understanding of relevant international contract law principles and regulations.
* Act as a point of contact for customer correspondence on contractual matters, including proposal clarifications, change orders, terminations, and other contract amendments.
* Represent the company at client and supplier meetings as required (may include occasional international travel).


Person Specification


Essential Skills And Experience

* Demonstrable experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions in a commercial environment.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify contractual risks.
* Proven negotiation support skills.
* Experience in customer and/or subcontractor contract administration.
* Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to work independently with direction, and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Customer‑focused and professional attitude.
* Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic commercial environment.
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
* Experience supporting dispute resolution processes is an advantage.


Desired Experience

* Experience working with customers in multiple jurisdictions (knowledge of US contracting practices particularly beneficial).
* General understanding of the Civil Aerospace market.
* Membership of IACCM / World Commerce & Contracting (WCC) or similar professional body.


Qualifications And Educational Requirements

* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Business, Law, or related discipline.
* Typically requires a minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a commercial, contracts, or similar role.
