We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary staff. Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use
* Support chefs during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as required
* Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
* Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness of ingredients
* Assist in setting up and clearing down the kitchen before and after service
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills would be advantageous
* Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus
* A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are essential
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
