Overview

We are searching for fun, patient and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team in the role of Playworker We are looking for staff who are cheerful, calm, organised, inclusive, respectful, kind hearted, motivated, spontaneous, committed and have a positive attitude

As a playworker, we are looking for candidates to have experience working with children, preferably in the primary school age range. We are also looking for candidates to be qualified to at least SCQF Level 6 (SVQ Level 2) in Playwork, Social Services (Children & Young People) or another relevant subject. You must be willing to reach SCQF Level 7 in one of these subjects to maintain SSSC registration at Practitioner level.

Job Information

Place of Work: Flora Stevenson Primary School, 175 Comely Bank Road, Edinburgh, EH4 1BG

Salary: Hourly rate- £14 p/h

Part time: 22 per hours per week term time/ Outside of term over time available. Shifts vary to suit the needs of the setting.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 2pm – 6pm, Friday 12pm – 6pm Term time/ Outside of term over time available. Shifts vary to suit the needs of the setting.

Annual Leave: 124 Paid hours for a full annual leave year April 1st to March 31st

This role is classed as regulated work. A job offer will therefore be subject to membership of the PVG scheme we the organisation will support the successful candidate with. Registration and maintenance of registration) with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is also mandatory. You must hold or be willing to achieve relevant qualifications stipulated by the SSSC. Again, the organisation will support the successful candidate with this process.
