We are seeking an enthusiastic trainee to join the Facilities and Event Team at West Northamptonshire Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn knowledge and skills in facilities and event management from an experienced team, working in some of Northampton’s most prestigious council buildings.
What will you be doing?
Training will cover.
Events
* Promoting and generating sales
* Planning, managing, and evaluating functions and events, including weddings, meetings, and parties
* Working with event suppliers
* Invoicing
Facilities Operations
* Room bookings
* Security
* H & S
* Communications
* Supervision of cleaning
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to complete a facilities management qualification, attain a personal licence certificate, become a first aider and fire warden, and gain health and safety qualifications.
They will also receive specific training on duties and procedures relevant across several council buildings.
About you
We are looking for someone who is confident, flexible, keen to learn new skills and has a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience. Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills are essential, along with some experience working in events. Evening and weekend working is required.
